I am so old I had to hide this book from my parents — it was still considered too smutty for Catholic school kids, even after the supposed sexual revolution.
(It was very disappointing in that respect).

The South Park kids were devastatingly disappointed in the scandalous & controversial Catcher in the Rye. Their salaciously prurient hopes had been far too elevated.
