I wonder if I would like this now. This was a set book, read in most American high school English classes. It so put me off George Eliot that it was decades before I could bring myself to read another of her novels. I read some of her essays, which brought me to Middlemarch and some other fiction, but I never felt a desire to reread Silas Marner. Until now, that is. I’ll give the audiobook a try - thanks, Euripides, for the chance to do so.

This book was a revisit for me as well. I had read it eons ago and surprisingly, I quite enjoyed it this time around, albeit in an audio format. And I hope you do too. :)
